Well, I have under arm hair growth which is getting quite thick now. I've beenn asked to go swimming a few times but turned down the offer as i'm rather embarassed and don't want anyone to make comments ( man I hate puberty!). Too make it worse, in my mums 'Healthier family' garbage, were starting swimming a few times a week and she's the type to say something jokingly!:whoops:. What should I do?

If it bothers you then shave it. To be honest growing up is something natural and more to be proud of than ashamed. Let people see and let them realise you are not a little kid any more.

i would shave off what you have. if someone says anything just say it was bothering you so you decided to shave it off.

I had this issue as well. The best thing to do is just go about life as normal... No one really has a problem and if someone makes a comment just brush it off because:
1) you can't change it
2) they're probably just joking
3) they'll get over it
Life is too short to worry about things like this! :D

Im on the fence with this one. Part of me says shave it. Part says trim it. Part says dont mess with it. I know that was no help at all but. Good luck man.

you shouldnt worry about it. my mom was the type to say something jokingly. so i asked her not to and she didnt. so it was all good. but u can always trim it if you want.. i dont like shaving it cuz i get itchy.. maybe thats just me.

I fit truly annoys you, trim or shave it. But if you don't and your mom says something, just ignore her.

I wouldn't shave it, unless it's making you physically uncomfortable.
A lot of kids ridicule others for that sort of thing out of (believe it or not) jealousy. Puberty, regardless of the education we recieve on it, is still somewhat of a mystery to the majority of early to mid teens out there. They're not sure as to when they're "supposed" to get hair, how big they're "supposed" to be or anything like that, and so their way of dealing with it, is to make fun of everything, just to be on the safe side. After all, it's better that we're all freaks, than only a few, right? (That's not my personal view, but it seems to be that of the majority) Really, bud, if you're getting made fun of, it's because of insecurity. You're a man! It's showing! Flaunt it!

I personally don't have much pit hair so I would be happy if I had a lot so I wouldn't shave it

Well, alot of times, professional swimmer's will shave leg, arm and armpit hair off so they go through the water easier.
But if you just don't want comments made, you could try just trimming and light shaving.

You can shave it if you dont like it or you can try to hide it while swimming (like try not to lift your arms or so)

If I am honest, I envied them too! But the rest are right! You shouldnt be worried about it, its just your body going through changes.:)

So wise Nick. :worthy:
Its normal and natural. Tis good to show it off, show them you've grown. A lot of people wont say anything cause 90% of the time they know what it is, what will happen, and dont judge you for it. ^_^ Have fun swimming.
