I know it is cold outside,
And the wind won't stop blowing,
The air is so frigid
You can't feel your fingertips
As you slowly make your way
Up the staircase
That leads to your father's house.
"I don't belong here,"
You whisper into the cold, silent wind,
And all it does is whistle briefly back at you,
A mind-numbing tune that sounds magnificent,
But in all honesty, never has been,
Never will be.
Understand that you are right,
It is cold where you are,
And you are a ray of sunlight
In this icebox planet,
You belong where it is warm,
You belong in my arms.
You don't belong at that house,
Tinted windows, black roof,
A dying shade of white paint
Splattered from across the introverted
Panels of basic construction
Holding up the house,
"Decrepit" you called it.
Remember, you are sunshine,
You are not one with the cold.
The wind brushes harshly up against your skin,
Do you realize you don't belong here?

Your knight in shining armor,
I will slay that eternal dragon,
I will end that eternal curse,

It is one with the sun.
