I have found that at that age, guys do tend to talk about sexual experience quite a lot more than girls. However, it soon evens out. At around 16/17 from personal experience girls do tend to become more open about sex. I have friends that when we were younger we never used to talk about it, now its a constant conversation. (does make those boring lunchtimes quite enjoyable)

But back on topic, you can't say whether they are lying or not. Some might be lying, but some people might not be. If I was you I just wouldn't bring it up in conversation again if they are obviously uncomfortable with that tone of conversation.

Ehh, this could go both ways.. But, friends often find ways to bond and relate so i doubt that they're lying.. But, they could be. It's normal not to masterbate and not to like it, For example: Me! =] It just depends on the person and what their likes and beliefs are. Hope i helped.

If they are lying to you, then they are probably not as open to talk about it as you or other girls might be. My friends, who are mostly boys, talk openly about it but not all the time like some of the others I know. Really, it's all how open they want to be about it. Masturbation is not a subject that everyone is open to, so if they lie then they have a good reason.

I dont think it is a thing that everyone wants to talk about. I have a close friend that I have masturbated with, my sister knows and my brother knows too. If anyone else asked to my face then I wud probably say no.

Not always true. Some people (men and women) masturbate all their lives, some start when they hit puberty, and some don't masturbate at all. It's all a matter of whether they like it or not. It may or may not be true that all girls are more closed on the subject compared to guys who are said to be widely open about it. Some girls are more open and some guys might be closed. It's all how comfortable they feel talking about it and how detailed they want to be.

I'm with Honeybear on this. It's not a subject that a lot of girls like to chat about openly. I masturbate quite a lot but I feel happier admitting it on here than face to face with anyone else. I think most girls know that maybe their friends do it, but chose not to go into that subject.

I find the amount of people in this thread who assume the girls are lying to be disturbing. FACT: There are a LOT of people in the world who in fact DO NOT masturbate. Some may find it shocking but it is NOT a universal practice.

It's hard to say really. They all might be lying or they all night be telling the truth: Also,some could be lying and some could be telling the truth (I think this would be the most likely possibility, as I'm sure some of them probably are, or have at least done it once). Some may even do it in their sleep without realizing. when you talk about it make sure you Brag about How Much Fun it is and how you enjoy it: Then some will probably tell the truth.

I find that girls who don't want to talk about in openly, either are lying whether they do it or not, and/or they don't REALLY Know how to do it. I find the best time and place to talk about it is at Sleepovers when we are laying around on the bed/s. I let them know that I Mastabayt at night every night and if I'm making noices that's what I'm doing: I tell them if anyone else wants to mastabayt while there at My Sleepover not to be Embarressed.
