ok, im not sure where to post this, so i just went with 'family'
my sisters are going to turn 13 soon, and i want to let them know about this site. but i cant simply tell them, because...well...my family isn't the most 'open' and VT has some 'questionable' things for 13 year olds to be reading, as my parents would say.
any tips on how i could tip them off anonymously?
some things i cant do are:
-leave web page open on compute, they use household computer
-leave a note, they would ask questions

You can send them a email, if they have email addresses.
Even though you say your family isn't that "open", I'm pretty sure that if you just tell your sisters about the website, they might give it a look.

I think this totally depends on how close you and your sisters are. If you are quite close, I would suggest just telling them, if they are going to keep it to themselves. However, if they are going to go running to the parents telling them all, this might cause you some undue bother. I think the best way to go about this might simply to be wait until they have a problem, a simple one, and say, why don't you go on a site and get some help, when they ask which one, google something that is going to lead you straight to VT. They know the site, but you haven't directly told them. Also, a lot of people aren't comfortable in forums and the like, so maybe just let your sisters go through it on their own. As a big sister you want to be there for them, but pushing them to find out things they might not have previously known isn't the best idea. When they are ready to find out all these things, I think its something that is better off done alone.

Fake a spam e-mail advertising the forum.
