OK so right in the middle of a game my computer shut down, but before shutting down the config. for updates thing appeared.......funny part is that I DID NOT agree to downloading any updates...
any ideas as to what is going on here?
and yes I do have it set to were I must agree to any updates.

I think that if you set it to no, it does it automatically after a few hours. Mine does that too, it's annoying. It just restarts for automatic updates. I forgot how to disable it though.

It's an update to help secure your computer..?? I wouldn't moan about it tbh

The updates were not even shown in the "important updates" section of the update viewing thing....that is the thing thats got me going...

he is moaning mostly cause his little game was disturbed, and most likely didnt get to save it or something. I have no idea of windows stuff anymore. (yay for apple)

this has nothing to do about the game. I am just wanting to know why an update download with out appearing on the update list and with out my approval even though it set to wait until my approval.

He's not moaning about the game. He's asking why it shut down by itself because of updates NOT approved by him. I would want to know why too.
You could have trojan or a virus or it could just be your settings that can be fixed with a click of the mouse. Scan your computer just incase. You never know.

Because you have it set to automatically install updates just turn that off and you'll be fine. You don't have to accept every update if you have it set for auto.
