Well,i have a friend who doesn't speak much and he doesn't talk about his life much either but he is a good guy and i really want to know him better (Not only say hi ).We live too far away from each other so i can't see him in person and we only chat via internet or phone but i usually open the conversations etc...

Any help would be grateful

how long have you know each other? how did you met?

simply keep talking to him, making conversations... perhaps he is a bit shy (like me lol, I can be very shy, even online and specially on the phone)... the more you talk to him, the closer you'll get...

Also, you could do stuff online, dunno, play online games or something, spend more time together... and try arranging things to meet even if it's just every couple of months...

BTW, how far is "too far away"?

Well if he lives that far the only way you can be able to talk to him is by telephone or on the internet.

If he has a webcam, you can use skype. That's sort of better as you can see each others faces.

that's not THAT far, you could probably see each other once a month or something... is taking a bus an option? you could invite him over for the weekend so he can arrive Friday night and leave on Sunday afternoon, that way you can have some time together...

Apart from that, just try doing stuff online together while seeing each other isn't an option... why not trying a Video Call? that could be fun (And easier than typing lol)

???? 3 hours is pretty farrrrrrrrr lol

I suggest you talk to him. Get to know him, find common ground. Don't try to drill stuff out of him, shy people don't really like that.

Well because of school and all the other things that we both have to do every week there isn't much time left to go to his house or he to come in mine...He has a web camera but he refuses to buy a microphone and his mother also doesn't let him come that far to stay in my house (he leaves only with his mother). But should i talk to him that much or he'll get bored...?
