If you've "had [penetrative] sex". So vaginal/anal sex by the usual definition.

Most people don't consider masturbation or oral sex as the loss of one's virginity. Oral sex is only foreplay, and masturbation only involves yourself, so you can't lose your virginity to yourself. Some people like to think that though, for some reason, and I know a girl who still considers herself a virgin yet she's had anal sex and did every other kind of sexual act except vaginal - I disagree, but you know how some girls can be about stuff like that.

Anyway to the question; 16 before my GCSE's to my then-girlfriend. It wasn't planned, but it was good and memorable, I guess. I don't feel any higher on any social ladder than I did beforehand. I didn't exactly get a gold star for it.
