How much water do we need in our daily diet? I usually have one bottle a day, (im trying to lose weight) is this enough? like to really rush the weight loss.

Divide your weight in half.
That is how many fluid ounces is recomended daily.

This is what I have learned in Biology.

2 bottles of water a day. Or if you don't believe in buying bottled water, like myself, 4 glasses of water is good.

Well, according to my old personal trainer (jackass is more like it), you should be drinking eight 8 ounce glasses of water a day. Of course, some people might just take their weight and divide it by half as Jake has suggested. I typically drink two to four bottles a day if we have enough. If not, I'll drink about six 8 ounce glasses. If you want to drink more water, keep yourself active. This not only gets you the exercise you need in a day, but when you're thirsty, water is always a good choice instead of the sugar filled sodas or energy drinks.

Best of luck.

the rule is generally 4 pints per day. a glass is usually (if i remember) 8oz and there are 16 oz to 1 pint. so yes 8 glass minimum. I however like to substitute a few glasses with juice. It give you more nutrition per day and you dont taste the minerals in it like you can water.

I'd definitely say drinking less water is not an effective nor healthy way to lose weight.
Certain diets promote different programs and routines of eating and drinking, but many, if not all do promote taking sufficient water (which you can get in more sources than drinking straight water, like fruit juices).

If you're after weight loss, one particular diet I've seen effective is the protein-intensive Dukan diet. Since Protein is a complex strand, it takes longer to break down and contains the necessary nutrients to keep you full for extended periods of time. This helps maintaing your metabolism, you will slow your hungry in a healthy manner. Note this does not suggest anything "instant" or "fast".
You can read more about it here (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1267106/The-ultimate-diet-The-French-kept-secret-years-Now-protein-rich-Dukan-Diet-coming-Britain.html) :)

As for me, I drink up to a gallon of water per day, not including other drinks like tea, juice and stuff I don't consider part of my daily diet. I found that consuming water definitely helps you stay more alert and helps with your complexion, and water's free.. so drink up and good luck! :)
