What should I do with my old computer?

Ok so after moving from windows to mac, my old PC is just sitting there picking up dust. What should I do with it?

Specs: (just copied off the sticker on the side :P)

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3200+ (2.20GHz)

Memory: 512MB PC3200 DDR

Hard Drive: 80GB 7200RRPM Ultra DMA

Graphics: nVidia GeFroce FX5200XT 3D AGP Graphics with 128MB DDR and TV-out port.

Special Features: front access 9-in-1 Digital media reader, 3 USB ports, 1 firewire, 1 line-in, and 1 mic-in

Networking: Integrated wireless 802.11b/g with software access point; integrated 10/100 base-T network interface

Im running Windows vista on it. It runs ok. :/

So what shall i do? and I dont really want to smash, kill, burn, throw, drop, hit, shoot, crush it, blow up, bomb, light on fire, throw out.

Sell it obviously. That would be the best thing to do. Just make sure you don't ask for TOO much.

You could turn it into a server, for your media and such.
Or a backup box.
Or a NAS box.
Or a, ect. box. :p

You could donate it to a school or to a person in your family, friend which doesn't have one. Or if you are the greedy type, you could probably get a hundred bucks or so for it.

It's always good to have a spare computer around as well. I have an old Windows 2000 I use as my spare computer. There's nothing wrong with it.

:D Id do that, but we all have macs. ^_^ I might see about giving it as a donation, or just sell it on eBay. I wonder how much I might get...

I actually vote for keeping it as a spare. My laptop broke a few weeks ago and I almost cried because I had just thrown out an older one days before... I suggest keeping it :D

Selling is pointless.

Turn it into something functional, like storage. Not just data and whatnot though, use it a physical storage for stuff. Like turn it into a bookshelf, that's what I do with stuff. It's genetic, my brother turned some old 70's spoked motorcycle wheels into bookshelves, so yeah. Use it.

Keep it, you never know what may come... you might even need it down the line again, if your current computer breaks done.

Or give it to a family member or a friend or something.
