Avatar To Pass Titanic's Box Office Record.

Avatar has gotten 1.6 billion around the world since it's start.

Titanic totaled 1.83 billion, so it's not going to be long plus it's most definitely going to pass 2 bill.

Avatar grossed 46 million last weekend (it's 5th weekend) beating Titanic 5th weekend record of 30 million.

I personally loved Avatar, and am a big fan of James Cameron and Titanic (who also directed Titanic, which you probably know).

Did anyone else see Avatar and did you like it more or less than Titanic? (unless you haven't seen one or the other).

I have to tip my hat off to James Cameron. He genuinely knows what he's doing. He's showing everyone how to do it, as he's the only person who has ever beat himself. Genuinely an amazing man. I'd never even heard of him till late last year.

I never seen Avatar, but I think I prefer Titanic, they are two totally different stories, and I prefer Titanic's.

I saw Avatar over Christmas break, great movie. Well today my mom and sister wanted to see it in Imax, so today we drove up there and its sold out all the way up to next Tuesday. It's been out for a while and people are still seeing it and its still selling out. this will easily break all box office records.

It's funny because before it came out everyone was saying how James Cameron screwed up and how it cost $300 million to make and how it will never make up the cost, well that's all wrong.

Avatar was amazing, just saw it today. It really drew me in. BUT! I think that Titanic is still a better story. It actually is realistic, which is something I like. For it's time, it's just superior. Also, it's just incredible. Nuff said.

I liked it... it wasn't AS awesome as they made it out to be (But i didn't see it in 3d lol)
I'm glad they focused on the story and not just the visual effects like most other movies that try to have major visual effects

I cant understand how this movie is making sooo much effin money.
Honestly, its overrated and not worth 1.5 billion dollars.
Maybe a few hundred million at best.

I'm seeing it again soon. It was so awesome. James Cameron deserves a lot of credit for this.
