Okay first of all, the majority of woman are born with a broken hymen, a complete hymen is quite a rare thing as they can be broke quite easily, so chances are, yours are already broke. It doesn't mean your not a virgin anymore, it's completely normal. You will still have a hymen obviously, but if your having a period, your hymen already has a hole in it, hence your body fluids, aka period, can leave your body, so a tampon may stretch it a bit, but it will do no more harm to your body that what has already naturally occurred.

But I don't see the issue. It can't make you loose your virginity or anything like that.
