So, I was walking around downtown today, and walked into the army navy store. Inside, they had bandanas. When I got home, i went on the internet and found out some different ways to wear them, like a headband, around your wrist, or around your neck, a "neckercheif". the last one apealed to me the most. the question: while there would be nothing wrong with wearing one outside, like at a summer concert, what about in school? in winter? particularly the neckercheif style, as guys arent allowed to wear hats or headbands in my highschool. what do you think: personal style or fashion faux pas?

Bandanas are considered gang clothing. That's why nobody in my school wore bandanas.

I wear them every now and then. Mainly when it's fucking cold out so I can cover my mouth and look like a badass.

I wear them as a headband and it's your choice. Do you like going with the flow, or do you want to stand out?

Nice.
I used to think bandanas were cool, now I'm rather indifferent, but then again I live in a military town so people tend to be a little more clean cut around here.

My school doesn't allow that either. I remember MTV having some news tv show where they talked about that.

I suggest brown. It goes with everything and you won't get shot. At least not unprovoked.

I use to wear bandanna's allot when i was fourteen, which was the time i really tried dressing strange. I dyed my hair green, purple, and red once at that time, got my hair short, grew my hair real long, painted my pants white with stick figures all over them killing each other and having sex, and i bought like fifteen bandanna's with trippy designs.
That was such a weird time for me. Luckily I grew out of that.

i looked on my schools website and it says that bandanas are strictly prohibited. (cause you know, a middle class white kid in suburban massachusetts is rollin with the crips.) oh well. i could probly get away with it anyways, and that was a good idea to wear it over your face like a scarf

in my area we don't have a huge gang issue, but they're still not allowed in school....
i just wear them when i want my hair out of my face but don't want to use anything like hair ties or anything. usually while doing sports

This year, our dress code was changed so that you can't wear any bandannas at all, but you used to be able to wear them if they were keeping hair out of your face, and they were rolled like a headband.
I never wore them, and still don't. They are still a big thing around here during sports, usually in our school's colors.
