Why is it that nice girls always seem to go out with complete assholes?

As in you meet a girl who is really nice, and you get along with her fine, only to find that she's going out with a complete dick, who has no redeeming qualities what so ever? Either that, or he's boring and seems to show no interest in her at all? Yet when someone who genuinly cares about how she feels, and actually has some form of respect for women comes along, they don't even get so much as a second glance?:what:

Because evidently, any sign of respect or of interest beyond sex is not considered 'boyfriend' material. Trust me, Being a nice guy myself, I know the 'friend card' as good as anyone. There are many factors that go into why girls choose ass holes. For some it's out of rebellion (wanting to date 'the bad boy') for others they genuinely prefer jerky guys, some can't find a nice guy and thus settles for a bad guy etc etc. There are a million different possible reasons. Some make sense, others don't. Just know that there are SOME girls out there who appreciate nice guys :)
