I turn the water on
Test it with my hand
Too hot, too cold…
Just right! Never bland

Slowly I step in
On foot then another
Then I turn my back
To water that will cover

I close my eyes
Then wet my hair
It drowns my face
But I don’t care

Soothing and warm
It takes away the world
Soon I’ll make pretend
I’m in a jungle world

The water is from falls
Tumbling hard and loud
I hear the tigers roar
Of this land they are proud

I open my eyes again
It’s time for my shampoo
I run it through my hair
It’s a sickly green goo

Rinse and repeat
As the bottle says
Now it’s time for soap
Behind my ears mom says

One more rinse and then I’m out
To my waist the towel is about
Not quite dry, my hair still wet
A long shower, time we won’t regret

The air will dry me now
The room keeps the heat
Now that I’m relaxed,
To my bed I retreat

I really enjoyed that poem (:
You really talked about everything that someone feels or goes through when taking a shower
Good job

Thanks I actually wrote it just after getting out of the shower lol I felt like writing and I thought why not write about something random and simple :)

I love when everyday activities can be expressed so thoroughly in a poem. Nice work.
