Does breaking a bone or getting really sick effect puberty??? Or does it slow it down or anything?? I was just wondering:}

puberty happens because there is a gland near ur brain at the back of your head that sends our chemicals/hormones/whatever u wana call them....and they signal your body to start changing

so breaking a bone wud not affect this, and most sicknesses will not either

a serious head injury might... or possibly a major injury to the testes or adrenal glands (both of these produce testosterone)

Breaking a bone would have no effect. I think there are some illnesses and treatments that could have an effect, but not many, only the most serious things. Sorry, cant be more specific.

ok. yeah i was just wondering if the body slowed puberty down to heal up or something of that sort...

if the injury caused damage to the part of the body that signals the start of puberty then it will definitely affect your puberty.
