Can men/guys get a UTI?

I asked my friend and her mom is a nurse and she said yes, but I just wonna check..

I went to the bathroom last nite and today. It was ok to pee at first, and then it felt like fire coming up my penis and it made me fall on my knees. And the head itches now..

I don't know if it is a UTI or not...:what::what:

I'm pretty sure it is possible, just a lot more common in women...or it could be something similar.

Yes men can get it if you read this_page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urinary_tract_infection) you will find that it can be caused by prostate enlargement

What you need to do is see a doctor and confirm whether or not you actually have a UTI. If so, he'll write you some relatively harmless antibiotics, and you'll be fine in no time.

UTIs can be dangerous. See a doctor.

Yeah , you can. I had the same thing and you just pee in a cup and get antibiotics. I turned up positive, and with the antibiotics it cleared up but they wanted to do a VCUG to check that my kidneys were working fine...and that test SUCKS.

awhile back i had a kidney stone removed surgicly from my urinary tract, and shortly after the surgery i also developed a UTI and all i had to do was go to the doctor and get antiobiotics just make sure you finish out the cycle the doctor gives you and will be fine, i waited a little bit before going back to the doctor about this because i had thought it had something to do with after effects of my surgery, allthough i was right but not for the reason that i had thought, there ya go bud i wish the pissing of razer blades is improving by now :D
