I go to a sort of alternative school, where i only go for half days and i work at my own pace. basically they shove a whole course in my lap and tell me to work through it. i'm only halfway through the course and i only have 2 weeks to finish the whole fucking thing.
i have to write a critical essay about a book i just read, and i really don't have time to waste by writing this stupid thing. i found a website that just gave me one, for free and it's pretty much written the way i write. i'm thinking about using it, cause my teacher won't know.
i was just wondering what you guys thought?

In my school, they have a machine they can put it in and if there is more than 3 sentences that are copied from something out of a webpage or book. If you get caught you can get a zero, or a zero in the class, or you can go to jail. But, your school might not have that, but I would be careful.

well, i know i won't go to jail. and my teacher is too busy to check anything. maybe i'll just re-write it in my own words, but steal the idea.

yeah i know. if she does catch me she'll probably just slap my wrist. i'm pretty good at doing my own work. it's just i'm super crammed for work. i mean, finishing half a course in two weeks? kill me now.

If you're going to copy it. Change a few words here and there. Most teachers will take a paragraph and paste it on Google, and that will give them the page you got the essay from. Just be careful.
Heres some proof (http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp&q=In+my+school%2C+they+have+a+machine+they+can+put+it+in+and+if+there+is+more+th an+3+sentences+that+are+copied+from+something+out+of+a+webpage+or+book.+If+you+g et+caught+you+can+get+a+zero%2C+or+a+zero+in+the+class%2C+or+you+can+go+to+jail. +But%2C+your+school+might+not+have+that%2C+but+I+would+be+careful.+&aq=f&aqi=&oq=&fp=df82d86320cf60e9)
I copied and pasted exactly what Rebecca L Vaughn said
And the first link on google was a link to this page

No don't. I remember I did that once for a English final. Bad move. Trust me just don't do it.

don't just copy paste the whole text, re-write it as you said, with your own words and try add some things in plus that you didn't find in that text, and make sure you use your own style of writing.
I handle things in the same way, but I try to find more versions on the topic and I choose what I need and re-write it and if I have what to add I add it to the final text.

i stole the majority of it, but added a bunch of my own ideas. i don't think she'll notice or care for that matter. i'm a fairly good student, and i've never done this before. it's just the overload of work to complete in such a small amount of time is killing my brain.

well the thing is they have a website my teacher showed me and they can just find exactly where you got that specific essay lol

Fine, cheat.
But you won't learn anything. Next time you get a course you'll just do the same thing over and over, and eventually you'll get caught. It's happens to all of us. I think you should sit down and do your work, because it's your fault you're so behind.

Cheating is for chumps.
Next time don't laze off and maybe you'll finish the course on time.
I remember once my English teacher thought I was cheating because my English was miles ahead of the others. When she copied a few select phrases on Google, she got nothing because I don't cheat. She told me so and apologised.
I thought that if I were so good that she thought I cheated, then I should take it as a compliment.

Don't cheat, you learn nothing but how to skip the important stuff in life. Yes, essay writing is important. You will always need to be able to get across an idea clearly through text. No matter what you do later it will be necessary. I cheated through both years of Spanish and I wish I hadn't. Knowing a second language would be so helpful right now. Even if where I will go later in life won't require it, it would be nice to know it. So now I'm learning Bambara, which I will hopefully learn.

i have never cheated before in my life. i've always been a hard worker. i just don't have time to sit down and write a whole essay on stupid shit. normally i would do it. but i have a week, and then i'm done school. i have half a course to do. i don't think it'll really matter.

it's not my fault i'm behind in my work. i started the semester late, and finished early. how is that my fault? it's university english, so it's hard. i've never cheated before. don't say it's my fault i'm behind, cause it's not.

Oh trust me, I had most of last year off school and when I went back late last year on my first day back I was handed a test I hadn't studied for let alone learnt ANYTHING about.
You HAVE to put the hard work in, or you'll never go anywhere in life.
Sounds crap, but it's the way life works. Cheating is only going to get you into trouble with yourself. Guilt has funny ways of expressing itself.
