It does not count as self-harm unless you were intending to harm yourself.

No. Duct tape does not help.

You need alcohol and a band-aid. If it gets infected you might have to go to the doctor.

Yes, if you put your mind to it, you can make anything work, but I'm just saying, at least use a rag or towel before you use duct tape, that doesn't seem very safe to me.

Duct tape..well isn't that safe, sure you can close up the wound with it but when you take it off, it will hurt like a bitch because duct tape is usually used to stick things, therefore if you take the duct tape off you could also expose the cut again and open it, it's much better to use something that's non sticky..like gauze or a bandage. Duct tape is safe for some things not closing a wound.

no it doesn't, but duct tape doesn't sound safe at all.

No, if you didn' intend to hurt yourself it isn't self harm.

yeah what everyone else said. and maybe you should take there advice on not using duct tape. And if it's to the bone it might be wise to go to a doctor just in case.

Ok, it only counts if you did it on purpose and 2, sure duck tape can work but u really should have used a bandaid.

ok #1 no it doens't count unless you did it on purpose
#2 DUCK TAPE IS NOT GOOD!!!!
- it can cause infection
- once you pull duck tape off, the scab will come with it... causing it to bleed and reopen!!
- GO SEEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION
- you are going to need stitches... don't do this yourself... it will cause an infection, even if you burn the needle...
- never splint a persons leg with branches and duck tape very dangerous... next time leave splints to the phsyicians...
- go to a doctor now... for the thumb...

i hope you cleaned it out well enough... you probably idnd't, go to the doctor's he/she can tell if yu did, help you prevent infeciton.. hey if it gets seriously infected... like worse case sinero they will cut off ur thumb... i don't know waht they do for minor infections... but they might put you on antibiotic of something... sooo go getsome help for that ok?
