I'm mostly a metalhead, and I'm into hardcore brutal shit like:
whitechapel, job for a cowboy, chelsea grin, emmure, cholera, viraemia, and we are the end.

However, when I'm in the mood for something somewhat mellow or melodic I listen to: Tickle Me Pink, Relient K, Breathe Carolina, Saosin, and many others.

If I had to choose, I would probably either pick Whitechapel or Saosin.
