well, you just got to find rests and things were you can breath.
and you gotta breath lightly and deeply but not loudly.
Its hard, but eventually you will be able to get it down.

Depends on what you are sining. If you are in a group, you take breaths inbetween words subtly if you are soloing you play scuba diver.

just don't scream sing like linkin park because you don't want to lose your voice but his songs rock!

What the hell "like linkin park?" Linkin Park are fucking awfull..
They hardly scream either, you wanna hear screaming, go check out some Napalm Death.
What do you mean "his" songs? There is more than one guy, I hate it when people think the vocalist is the band and thats it.
Back onto the topic, practice the song, you will find times when you can take subtle short breaths.

Well, one suggestion is to try breathing from the stomach instead of the chest.

either find places to rest, or take lots of lil breaths throughout the singing, or take a deep on and use everything like to the last amount of air. i dont sing but ive been told i should, like i sing if im by myself or in church but not much more. you could also do breathing exercises to increase ur lung capacity. run or do anything that requires good lungs, maybe just sit there and for a lil bit see how long u can hold ur breath and eventually they'll expand and hold more

Learn to stagger your breathing. Take it when there are others singing, and skip some notes to breathe. Breathe slowly. Don't try to take it between two close notes because you'll have to take it fast and therefore loudly.

Try to take breaths by expanding your stomach and not your chest. It's really, hard, believe me, I know, but you'll get the hang of it. Try singing on your back with a book on your stomach. Sounds weird, but it works!

Try not using as much breath in long progressions
Like, conserve your breath by singing shallower.
Hard to explain

to original poster:
i know whatchu mean
because when im recording my rap music, i can sometimes run outta breath or something, but that was maybe a year ago. and its easier for me to rap a lot more (because rapping is hard cause its fast rhyming) and its just gotten better for me.
i think it depends on the person, if u got the skills , you can do it.
