The first three are a must, well really just the first and third. MW2 is okay but once you've played one first person shooter you've played them all. I would also suggest LittleBigPlanet. It's a really fun game, I though I wouldn't me into it but it's fun. Also, InFAMOUS is a good game, Better than Prototype if you played that and it reminds me a Crackdown somewhat.
Don't forget Killzone 2.
I've heard good things about it, but once again, it's a FPS, so it doesn't really grab my attention.
If you looking for something a little different than most game I suggest watching out for I Am Alive and Heavy Rain, they're both coming out this year, around march I think.
I Am Alive is set in Chicago (I think) when a earthquake goes off. No need for zombies and aliens as fighting your fellow human is enough of a thrill. I've got high hopes for this game.
And Heavy Rain is about four different people trying to capture a serial killer, once again it's not common and I think if it's done right could be an excellant title.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma.
It's Greatest Hits so it won't put a dent in your wallet and it's super awesome.
There's really no story, it's just an excuse to have you control a ninja with badass moves, limbs flying everywhere and blood. It's also challenging but never unfair.
Sigma II doesn't have the same gore, though, and the first one is better anyway.
Tekken 6 and SFIV are also badass if you're into fighting games.
My next budget acquisition will be Valkyria Chronicles.
