I honestly think it is pretty pointless. Using glasses to play a game is goofy. A theater for a movie is one thing, but a game is just shouldn't have it.
So, who agrees/disagrees with me?

If they can make it happen without the stupid glasses it would be better. Personally I like games as they are though.

On the Avatar Game they have it as an option
i think its a cool feature and if you can make it work well you may aswell go for it
however you should still be able to turn it off
i dont know how to set it up with my tv tho so im yet to play avatar in 3d

I agree. If they can get rid of those glasses it would be much more appealing to the consumer. Just picture people wearing 3D glasses and Bluetooth headsets: kinda stupid looking. I personally think games look fine the way they are now, no need for 3D. Besides, as far as I'm aware, you will need a new TV that supports 3D, which costs money.

I don't care, I'm not interested. In a move theatre, wearing a pair of 3D glasses for say a 3 hour movie is fine. Having them on for a longer gaming sessions in a pain in the arse. Plus, I don't have £8000 for the tv required to use.

You can get better glasses which aren't like the ones you get in the cinema, since cinema ones are designed not to really last, half of them go in the bin anyway.
I do like the idea however its not exactly going to be as cool as it sounds, would make the technology of 3d not as exciting in my opinion.

Obviously it depends on how they implement it. Overall though, sounds stupid. I won't be buying 3D games, and hopefully it wont affect gaming much anyway.

I would probably buy. Would depend on the type of game though (FPS, sports, etc...).

all i have to say is get use to it. in a few years everything will be 3D. I saw avatar 3d a few weeks ago and all the movies coming out, are going to be in 3d. so just start getting use to that and start getting use to games in 3d. Its going to happen very soon. But there should be options in the settings to turn the 3d features off though

Sony is incorporating 3D right now. Microsoft isn't.
If I am correct, you have to buy a whole new 3D capable t.v., an adapter thingy, and the glasses that make you look like a jackass.
I still don't see why someone would want to play in 3D. In a FPS, it would really screw you up. Say, in BF:BC a wall blows up, well, dirt adn bricks will be flying towards you, and then bullets, grenads, and health packs would be flying at you. It would be mroe of a nuisance than anything else, for a FPS.
