Has anyone ever pierced themselves? I.E. ears, nose, belly button ect. (not as a form of self harm)
if so, how did you do it? what did you use? did it get infected easily?

I pierced my second hole in my left ear with a safety pin, it gets infected but not as much anymore. I keep attempting to do my right ear but I can never get the earring in fast enough.

I pierced my tongue many years ago. But I was afraid that if my parents found out I had a tongue piercing, they would kick me out. So I took the piercing out and it closed up. Other than that, I have no other piercings.

I have six holes in each ear, three of them in each I have done myself.

I used a safety pin for a while and then started using a needle about the same thickness. They got infected alittle after being done but not anymore. I also iced my ear before doing it and when the safety pin or needle were in I twisted it to make it much easier for the earring to go through.

I wouldnt recommend piercing the cartalidge by yourself, that usually requires a hollow needle.

I've repriced my holes before. I left the earrings out for 2 days and they half-healed over.

Never tried to do a home piercing though. I think if I wasn't in a self-harming type of mood, i'd chicken out.

pierced my friend's ears. One side got infected so she took it out. the other was perfectly fine. it wouldn't have gotten in infected if she hadn't moved, causing it to go sideways.

My friend apparently pierced her belly button and her nose herself but they got infected so she took them out.
Anyone done that? because personally I wouldn't try piercing anywhere but my earlobes myself

I pierced my third hole myself (ear lobes), but I used the studs I wanted to wear to do it, so I wouldn't have to take the needle out and put the earring in after, which can be a little painful.

I know lots of friends who've pierced their own ears and say that doing the cartilage was less painful.

I re open the holes in my ears often, I take my earrings out then forget about them, then a week later I'm all "Crap!" so I poke a safety pin through.

I've never actually started a hole though. Both of the holes in my ears I got when I was young. One when I was 5, the other when I was 9 or 10.

I don't want any more holes in my ears, except possibly my tragus, and no way in hell would I do that myself!

I pierced my ears twice with a safety pin, it turned out fine and it didn't get infected.
