When I read one of my new subscribed threads, it still shows up in my user cp as a new subscribed thread. It only disappears when I mark all forums as read.
Does anyone else have this problem?

I think I have the same, since last night my own posts are showing up in UserCP and if I do a search for new posts. Normally my own posts are not listed.

My UserCp is going crazy, if I remember this has happened before, but that was when VT was down for a bit. I have all threads that I've posted in showing up when I click 'New Posts' and my UserCp is either having all threads I've subscribed to, or non at all.

Yea same for the new posts
it happened when vt was down because i think that was a feature that ant scrapped for a while to get vt running
so that thing must be broken or something
When ant gets online im sure hell fix it for us

Looks like it's for everyone cause it's got me too lol, also forums are saying they have new posts in them, but when I go in there, there are no new posts.

VT used to do that all the time, I'm not sure why it stopped and why it's started again, I can't remember if it's a setting or not lol.

It's really annoying, how am I supposed to get back to where I was in a thread when the 'first new post' button takes me to where I was the previous time I logged in, not where I actually am now? I don't want to have to go looking through every time...

Ant changed a setting so that threads we've already read don't show up in the New Posts search but before he did that we didn't have the problem with the User CP that we have now.

Eve, did you sign out and back in? Because when you sign out it clears the cookies from this site, which is probably what fixed it. I had the same thing yesterday but I just signed out and back in and it went away.

I've had a few things today where threads I had read last night still showed up unread until I read them again, but the other problem is over with haha.

I think it is because some people had loads of cookies on their computers and if there is a certain amount, i think VT just kind of goes in to melt down. coz after Ant said delete cookies people. some of us did, so i think that with only a few of us deleting them it put it all back to normal. I am not sure though, thats just my theory.

I clean my cookies and temporary internet files and such every week or two, actually. It's good practice to do that here and there. *shrugs*

I've been having this problem again. I've tried clearing my cookies and it didn't help. The only way I can put it right it by signing out and signing back in again but that is only a temporary measure.
Is this just happening to me?

Well the problem isn't quite on VT's end. What browser are you using?

Sapphire

I'm using Firefox but I have the same problem on IE.

The browser is the program you use to access the internet. Like Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.

This happened to me a while back. If you're using Mozilla FireFox, then update it to the new 3.6 version. Worked for me, but not sure if it would work for anyone else. It's an idea though.

I got it fixed now but it is going to show everything marked as unread within the last 7 days. But it should mark then as read once you view it.
