My friend hasn't had her period in 3months, and she's not sexually active..Any idea of what's going on? She's to nervous to ask a doctor.

Is she pregnant? If not, she should go to a doctor.

she's not sexually active
She's never even had sex.
She's to scared too, I was hoping someone on here could give an answear that might make her more likely to go.
She's 14 BTW.

Maybe you should talk to her to go see a family doctor. Sometimes it's just better to go. I mean I don't think we can actually persuade your friend to tell her parents to take her to the doctor. Things like that you have to be able to do on your own.

Does she eat regularly?
Is she underweight?
Has she been sick?

When did she start her period? If she just started, it's normal. It can take up to and beyond 2 years to start coming regularly.

No, she was taken of birth control.
And she started her period at age 11, never had a problem.

Is she depressed at all or under a lot of stress?

Stress and depression can make even the most regular of women experience irregular periods.

Irregular periods are not all that uncommon in teenagers. But, three months between periods is a bit extreme for someone who's had them for 3 years.

Hormone imbalances have been connected with amenorrhea (absence of a period for 3 months or more) and if this is the case then she should go to see a doctor because it can be indicative of bigger problems.

No, she was taken of birth control.

depending upon how long ago she was taken off the pill that may be the cause.

i didnt feel like reading any of the replys after the first one was dumb.

but its perfectly normal to skip a few periods within the first 3 years. also if she is overly skinny and doesnt have much body fat that can affect it to. People in sports such as figure skating and gymnastics tend to skip a lot, and basically any person very very very active.

hope this helps. if u wanna tk or have anymore questions pm me :)
