Two American girls, believed to be aged 12 and 14, are being hunted by police over a bank robbery.

The young girls walked into a branch of 1st National Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio and handed a note to the cashier demanding money.

According to police the note implied the girls would harm employees if the money was not given to them. They did not appear to have any weapons.

Staff complied and the girls walked out with a bag full of money. They then evaded an extensive police search which included a helicopter and sniffer dogs.

One of the girls was described as heavy set, around 5 feet 4 inches tall, and was wearing a hooded top and blue jeans.

The other was said to be second thin, around 5 feet tall and wearing a baseball cap.

Local police released a grainy black-and-white surveillance photograph of one of the alleged bank robbers.

The robbery took place at 3.20pm on Tuesday and the girls were seen leaving on foot and heading for a nearby housing estate.

Fail. That's the saddest thing I've heard in a long time.

Funny as hell though.

I agree that the thought that two young and small unarmed girls can just walk into a bank and ask for the money is astonishing. I hope the VT members will not be getting ideas from this....

*Adam prepares his note.*

Dear Bank,

Please comply to my absurd attempt at robbing you. I need some money even though I am 13. I have a squirt gun in my back right pocket. I want a sum of 12,000$ no less. If I do not get it I will squirt you. Don't even think about pushing the red button under the desk I see everyday in action movies. Don't do it.

Love,
Idiot.

Ah... only in Cincinnati. Funny how I live 10 minutes from Cincinnati and I only heard of this now.....

Anyway, that bank would want to be ashamed of themselves. A security camera and alarm system that functions and maybe a security guard or two would be helpful.

Well, it's definately not april 1st, but surely this can't be true? I genuinely just cannot believe this.

I can't believe these girls were 12 and 14. They must have had some rough childhood for them to think, "Oh what bank are we gonna rob today."

There are some very rough parts in Cincinnati.

Damn, that's crackbabyish*, lol.
I mean, the fact they got away is just pretty goofy.

*Crackbaby does not mean crackbaby, it pretty much means badass, for those who don't know.

That is ridiculous; what would they even do with that money anyway? And where were their parents?

My guess is that they were put up to it by either parents or older people they know.

My sisters response when I told her the time it happened:

'It's like "oh, we've gotten out of school, shall we go rob a bank?"'

That makes a hell of a story when you tell people how you got arrested.

The sad thing is, they're actually smarter then most criminals. Saw this one thing on Most Shocking where some idiot robbed a store with a screw driver, then got hit in the head with a steel chair by the store manager.

How's that for breaking down age barriers? You guys are assuming that it's the incompetence of both the bank staff and the police but maybe it's avually the competence of the girls. Maybe they're little masterminds. Or... oooo maybe they have supernatural abilities!!!

How badass. lol.

But to be honest, there's probably a lot more to the story than just that. It's obvious there's someone else involved, like they may be working for a gang or something.

No ordinary 12/14 year olds could confidently walk into a bank and demand money like that. Even most petty criminal delinquents couldn't. They must have experience or had a very severe threat on that note.

Are you fucking serious? Epic fail on the bankers part.

And the police. They can find 30 year old killers
But not two young girls. Come on

I think I might go to the bank today and say, "Give me money or ill kill you"
Yeah, that'll work just perfectly

Its idiocy to this extent that gives people in America a bad name.
