I just spilled juice on my laptop. When I did it, the screen turned black and it cut off. What should I do because I'm on my other pc right now.

I'm not a computer wiz but I wouldn't try to turn it on for awhile and let it dry.

Turn it upside down so that the keyboard is facing the ground, let it dry for a very long time and pray you didn't fry anything.

put it in a big bag of rice, it should help drain the liquid out.

Leave it to dry for a while, if it works when it is dry congrats, if it doesnt you should either replace the laptop or take it to a shop for a repair. Your data may be recoverable but they will probably charge for it to be recovered.

Since the bag of rice idea didn't work, I'd suggest what Mick said. If there is no other way you can recover the laptop, take it to Geek Squad or another computer store to get it fixed. If you bought it from a store and have a warranty, you should be able to have it replaced. If not, they'll more than likely charge for data recovery and part replacement.

Yeah.
If you haven't already take the battery out and make sure that area is clean. This means absolutely no current is running through the laptop.
Wait for it to dry out naturally/the rice way, not get a hair dryer etc.
If its still not booting up it probs means the internal hardware has fried/been damaged. If thats the case then its most likely a new laptop is required or a extreme repair is required.
I recently did this to my laptop had insurance covering accidental damage.

Rice really does help!! Everytime I drop my phone in water, I put it in rice. They lady at Verizon said to do it, and it has worked every time so far (I hope I didn't jinx myself!)

Actually I guess the rice kinda worked. My laptop didn't crash. The buttons are extremely sticky so I'm gonna turn it in for that.

You could save the money, and pop the keys off yourself and clean them.
They're /really/ easy to pop off, clean, and put back on.
Just use a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol, or warm water. Do not use soap.

Lots of people use sticky keys!
Just hit the shift key 5 times to turn them off. ;)

Ok my laptop is in comission now. The keys are working, but I want to upgrade the harddrive and I'm updating to windows 7 so I'm talking it to the pc store.
