Speedo or Boardshorts

I just need help deciding on weather or not I sould get and wear a speedo this summer or just stick with normal boardshorts. I'm 15 and am in good shape but a little on the skinny side. I'm on a swim team so a speedo would not look to out of place on me. I don't know just tell me what you guys think of the Idea of a teen guiys wearing a speedo to the pool. tell me what you think. hey and maybe if you can find a cool one online throw up a link for us to look at, just a thought.

But, I prefer boardshorts. I never liked such short swimwear on guys, unless for competitions

Honestly, if you are just having fun at the local pool, boardshorts for sure. If you are maybe working out at the local pool, you could get away with the speedos :P

Boardshorts in general though. Especially in the US, speedos are out of the ordinary

If you are serious about swimming you will get the speedo, otherwise what does it matter. Do you think Tom Daley stops to care what it does for his image?

If it's just a casual swim, wear board shorts, if it involves training or anything like that for your swimming, wear a speedo.

Yeah, a speedo at a local pool generally will get you some odd looks. Boardshorts FTW.

I think you should just stick to the good ol' boardshorts. they are very comfortable and thats generally what you see teen guys in.

I'm on a swim team and I think speedos on a guy is hot... but thats just me :)

Speedos in the school pool, beach and neighbors pool. Never had a problem with bad comments from anyone, my two bros and father wear them which may be why I am comfortable with them. I tried boardies a few times -terrible unless you are a surfer - tooo heavy and too wet for too long. By the way my parents buy my clothes for me - mentioned this in another post just to shopw that they approve. Just make sure you don't get them too big or they will bag out. After you wear them awhile you will wondwe what the peoblem was with wearing them.

Speedos are awkward for me.
My friend, when she was little, was told they were "budgie smugglers" and she was petrified, thinking people actually smuggled birds into the country via carrying them in their speedos. ^^

ummm... speedos? really??? i think they look really weird and are like for people that are on a swim team... if your going to wear them for a competition then you should wear them but a casual swim, uhhh stick to boardshorts. LOL. :D

It's really up to how you feel when wearing them. If you feel better in speedos then try that. But I'd rather wear Board shorts. :]
