VT general hospital ...

Can i just ask.....
Why is there a VT general hospital?
I mean like most things that you would post on there pursumeably would be about medical questions and querys that only a doctor would be able to answer. And as it says on there people are not professionals so i dont know why people should post up there when they can just go to there doctors ... ?

Some people would rather get an opinion first before going to the doctors. Some people find it a daunting thing going to the doctors and would rather find out about a problem before booking a appointment. VT gen hosp can help give advice to some problems.

Obviously though its teen 2 teen advice meaning it may be wrong since no one is a doctor.

Sometimes you can get help to deal with symptoms and maybe a possible diagnosis from your friends here online before you get a chance to go to the doctor. Not saying you shouldn't go to a doctor. That forum is just there to be a first source of info into your medical problem.
In some cases you may go beyond this first source for help and in others it is a simple problem that you wont need professional medical attention for.
