Okay so me and my girlfriend started going out 12/25/09 (on Christmas ) this past Wednesday we went to the movies and i kissed her but it wasn't a French kiss and she was blushing, personally it was my first kiss and i really liked it and i like her, when she got home she texted me i love you for the first time in the relationship, and i remember her saying that she doesn't love anyone who isn't family b/c she finds it really hard to....we're both 13 and i said i love you back...is this real love? does she really love me? or is it just strong like?

Well, if you both feel the need to be around each other, I'd say it's love. If you both enjoy kissing, I'd say it's love.

i would say its a strong like right now. loving someone is more complicated then that. right now you should just enjoy your realationship for what it is, and then at some time in the future you may both feel it in your hearts that you love eachother. loving someone is more then just a kiss and some feelings for eachother, love takes some time to develop for most people.

i think strong like. love is unconditional, meaning you love her no matter what, you'd die for her.
just spend more time with her, over time you will be about to tell if you love her.

after all, if you have to question whether its love or not, then i say its just strong like. love is unquestionable.

Well I say it's more of a strong like but enjoy the experience, I'm 14 and I haven't had my first kiss yet

Well congratulations first of all, take some time to get to know her better. At the moment you're really just good friends exploring life together, if it develops into love then you will know and wont need to ask.

I agree with the above to. However what I've noticed is at younger ages "love" is hard to discern. At such a young age, especially with this being your first, it's a new emotion, not something you're used to. So naturally you could call it love even though later in life after you've matured more and experienced more you might realize differently. Anything can turn into love, this simple relationship could become a life long marriage, it's a shot in the dark to determine what it is at such an early stage. Like you said, it was your first kiss, my first kiss was also with my first girlfriend. I was in 6th grade at the time and felt I was in love- felt she was the one. Now some 5 grades later, several heart breaks, and sooo mcuh confusion I've realized I had a strong liking for her, not really love. (: Again, love- maybe, the whole thing is a maybe. :D Best of luck with it regardless.

yeah i think it just might be a strong like... love is something you don't have to question about. once you are in love you will feel it and know. it's like some sort of human instinct.
