Does anyone else play? If so, What do you think of Cataclysm?

I played on that 10 day trial thing, I didn't like it too much, but also there are so many restrictions with the trial

Yeah the trial's a pain in the arse in that sense. It appeals to some people's interests and ignores others.

I liked the trial because I had no other experience, but having got to know the full game I have to admit it is very limited.
As for cataclysm, it looks good from what I've seen, and I really cannot wait to roll up a worgen and start tearing people apart.

Since it seems like a lot of people play WoW we should just turn this into the main "WoW Thread".
I certainly do play WoW. I'm excited for Cataclysm in some respects and not so much in others...
I like the way they're streamlining leveling, first off. The point of an RPG is mainly leveling, yes, but there's so much fun stuff to do at end-game that leveling is only half of it. Right now so many quests are rather grindy, and it feels like you have to squeeze a lot out of some zones which isn't always fun. making zones shorter in level range should help the process a bit, I think, and make it so each new class you can still have a good deal of fun with.
I also like that they're planning on revamping the talents so that they move away from more passive abilities and are planning to focus on more things that will be activated or which will be caused by another spell and attack, etc. It sounds like they're really pushing to move away from 'cookie-cutter' talent specs so that you can be viable no mater how you place your talents.
As a warloc, the new soul shard system sounds incredibly awesome, though I'm sure there will be a good deal of people QQing over our instant-cast fear. :p
The new PvP zones sound nice. While I play on a non-PvP server (It's an RP server, pretty much the best one so I don't get that choice of PvP really), I am a huge advocate of World PvP, and hopefully having multiple Wintergrasp-Style zones will open that up a bit more.
Oh, plus Goblins are freaking sweet.
What do I not like about it? Not a whole lot, but I don't really like the sound of the re-forging system, because that means that every piece of gear that's cloth will pretty much become warlock gear if the user so desires it. It probably won't be quite so easy, but part of the fun is searching for that perfect piece of gear, doing what it takes to hunt it down and obtain it. Changing the stats to your liking... meh.
I don't really like how they're simplifying the stats so much. Part of the fun is balancing... there's never a perfect formula. But now for casters, for example, it's just going to be 'Stack as much intellect as possible lolol'.
Overall, I'm excited and can't wait. But, on the other hand, I want it to come out some time a little bit in the future, because my server -sucks- at raid progression and thus finding my way into any of the higher level raids like TotGC or ICC are proving to be hard. =P
Oh yeah, my characters if anyone is interested. My main:

This is my priest, my guild needed a healer so I went and made a healer:

I have a ton of alts between level 10-72, so I'm not gonna list them all. Total altaholis though, so if anyone from VT wants to reroll together for lols or something, I'm game. (Get it... game?)

I just realized I forgot to put my two cents in >.<
Most of the aspects appeal to me and only a few don't. With a hunter as my main, I'm not liking the stat change as I'll lose mana to focus and I think attack power, but I could be wrong. The loss of them is going to be hard for me to acclimatise myself with the new ones fast as I want to raid =D. Other than my stat loss, I'm looking forward to it. The flying, the new profession, the upheaval has me bouncing but I want to hit the cap before it comes out ^^;
I'mma post my main and secondary alts :) My alts are all kinda low, as I've been focused on getting one char, to 80.

Blizzard has been on an 18-month release cycle evidently, and I think they want to stick with that, so it's likely to come out August or some time around there, I think. That's plenty of time to hit 80 and get some raiding in, especially with how fast you can gear up nowadays! ^_^
I have a level 72 hunter as well:

If you need help with talents, feel free to send me a shout. Half the fun in the game for me is simply doing the math, finding the best talent builds, so I have talent builds for every class which will be good for leveling and raiding. So I can help you with that, I know the hunter class inside and out already.
HUnters are going to get focus, but I think that's a good thing, really. Using mana is a bit annoying because since you don't stack as much spirit or intellect, you're running out of it every couple of fights and end up having to use aspect of the viper or drink. I have a rogue and I love playing him simply because if I have bandages on him, all I need to do is patch up a bit if I get hurt and my energy is back in no time!
Just as a note, don't worry about gear so much right now. You'll just replace it once you get to level 80 anyway, and you can level up without good gear in any case.

I'm taking a break from WOW now but I was (and sorta still am) a huge WOW nerd. I have an 80 Enhance Shaman and an 80 Hunter so getting rid of the mana system for both of them sounds REAL appealing. Plus I have a 66 Ret Paladin but I got bored of her. Yes, her! No way in hell am I playing a fruity BE male. My main's an 80 Unholy DK with a few other alts sprinkled here and there (80 Prot War, 80 Balance Druid, 71 Shadow Priest, 64 Aff Lock, 23 Frost Mage, 21 Combat Rogue).
I think you can see why I took a break haha. Not to mention my guild raids ICC+ToC 25 weekly and I run 10 mans so I got burned out on it since I know Cata's coming up and I can't see a reason to keep devoting 3 nights a week to raid for gear that's gonna be mostly outdated in a few months. :/ All in all I'm really looking forward to Cata, everything about it sounds great in my opinion.
