Some can be passed to you by your mother at birth, some can be contracted from using contaminated needles or being exposed to contaminated blood (which is why you cover up open wounds). Hepatitis is easily transmitted by blood through wounds.

Yes, that is true. During oral sex, the penis & the semen that follows oral never comes near the vagina, causing no risk for pregnancy.

Using a condom for oral sex isn't for the 'fun' of it, but to be safe from STDs, as most STDs can still be transmitted via genital-oral contact.

No, that's false. You can get an STD by something as simple as a handshake. Say, if you have an open sore on your hand, and an affected area of an STD touches it, it can transfer to you, even though you didn't have sex.

Learned that in sex ed last year.

Most of it is common sense - if there is the tiniest possibility it could go wrong, it can go wrong. And according to Murphy's Law, it will go wrong.

2: You/they can inherit many STDs.
