In a field of wild flowers
I left a crystal ball
To be found by the wildebeest
And his pursuer.

His pursuer, in black pants,
No eyes just courage,
Is a god among Men,
A Heathen among the sacred,
But a god among Men.

The pursuer, with a gray smile
And a serpentine sway
Lashes out at the crystal ball
One fine summer evening.

Why is blue always blue
Except when the sky chooses
To lose it's color
And move onto a different shade,
A shade of maroon
Or deep red bliss?

The pursuer doesn't understand.
He crushes the crystal ball
And the wildebeest turns around
And, in return, crushes him.

The god among Men
Didn't last very long
In a jungle of wisdom.
