what is with guys and periods?

I was looking at a forum that guys could say weither or not they would want to be a girl. And most that said no because they dont want to get a period. Or if they said yes they would only be for a few days. Why is this? In my oppion periods are not that bad. There is over the counter medication for cramps and stuff.

Not really. To be honest girls never need to moan about it because even we know it's not that bad. I don't. But, you see this thing called attention.. And, another word called sympothy. Some girls want too much attention on them and want sympothy from others about "how bad they're suffering" when they can really just put the sweets down that make their period worse and sometimes irregular. Eat some fruit. (like a banana: They help with cramps. I've tried and it worked) Take some pain killers. And relax. Maybe even nap? But, like i said.. Girls. -.- I'm sorry but, i'm not like other girls and girls annoy the heck out of me.. Lol.. Think about it too. You know i'm right.

I can NOT blame any guy for not wanting the god damn mood swings, pain that for some people (myself included) is NOT helped by anything, and the simple icky factor of the blood.

I think my cycle is epically fucked up, but..yeah.
Just 'cause your periods aren't that bad doesn't mean that other people don't have ones that keep them stuck in bed for two days, then miserable for the rest of the week.

but do you get cramps are so painful that it prevents you from doing anything? That it makes you cry? That cause you to curl up in a ball with your feet and back pressed against either side of a doorway because it's the only comfortable position, and still in pain?

Then you should have no reason to be confused. Some women have painful periods and some don't. You're lucky that you only experience mild cramps.

The reason that I would not want to be a girl is...well...having a dick is just awesome. im a guy and to me the thought of blood gushing from out privates is frightening lol... and for some females periods can be more severe than others; my ex girlfriend had serious periods where she had lots of pain and she was a severe bitch lol( thats why ex jk) and my current girlfriend when you have periods you barely can tell.

Sorry but I think some girls in here are being quite judgemental. No-one else is going to have a period exactly the same as yours. While I no longer get periods (my pill is the love of my life) when I was younger they used to be the bane of my life. It wasn't that they were painful, but the fact they were so irregular. I would never know when I was going to be on a period, I never stuck to a schedule and sometimes I would have more than one period in a month, so yes I would moan to my girls. But for example, a friend of mine was often hospitalised her period pains were that bad. So please girls, stop judging and thinking everyone is the same as you. Yes there are girls who do it just to have something to complain about, but the rest of us are actually being truthful.
