Friends leave.

So my whole entire life, I feel as though I've been the fifth wheel. It's nothing too big to me, I have a good group of friends who I'm close with and hang out with a lot. It's just lately I feel as though things have deteriorated. They've been getting increasingly mean and I know they're joking and all, it's what we do, but after awhile, it starts to hurt. And to top it off all 4 of them went to the coast for the rest of the break and I got left behind. It really hurts, I feel super left out. I know it's nothing big at all but it's things like that that really get to me.

Any ideas on just what to do, how to cope? I'm a little lost right now.

Unfortunately, there are friendships that fade away, whether we like it or not... That happened to me with one friend, she abandoned our group and started hanging around with another friend. But in this case, I'm glad she did it, because of her many, many flaws, but it still hurts that she thought our friendship was disposable. We still hang around some times, but it's not the same.

In your case, maybe you should try and get some other friends, or try to talk with those friends you have now. You shouldn't feel that way, because of them, and they must know it.

I know, I don't think I'm ready to cut off ties with them, they're still my closest friends and we get along great...most of the time. But I think I will take your advice, maybe be a little less closed and try and find some more friends outside of my circle.

that happened to me at the end of middle school, fortunatly i moved to highschool and found new friends. i uggest looking for a new group of friends. i havent talked to my grade school or middle school friends in years lol, and im doing fine. 3 of them are in my gym classlol
