James Owen Sullivan also known as "The Rev" has died in his Huntington home on monday at the age of 28. james played drums and backup vocals for the california metalcore band Avenged Sevenfold and was one of its original members. Police say that he has died from natural causes but coroners have yet to say. Avenged Sevenfold has publicly come out and referred to Sullivan as "one of the best drummers", and are asking for privacy in their time of suffering

I was fucking gutted when I found this out, earlier today.
Avenged Sevenfold will NEVER be the same without him.

R.I.P. Jimmy Sullivan, you were totally incredible. <3

Sad to see him go, but sadly if the band goes with him, well then I wont mind. He will however be in the rock hall of fame I think, mostly due to his playing.

I don't care much for their music, but speaking as an artist, I can see how such a loss would impact the group. I hope they're eventually able to get things back together though, I understand they have a lot of fans that look up to them.

Couple days before New Year's Eve. I never liked their music, but I truly admired his musicianship and style. Yet another celebrity gone.

UGhh. This is awful. I heard Mike Portney was going to replace him temporarily until their next album, but im not sure what's gonna happen after that :(
