I feel guilty

I had sex at 12, and, even though it doesn't seem possible, got the girl pregnant. The abortion was 8 days later. It is coming up on 1 year now and i still feel really guilty. Any advice?

Do you feel guilty for getting her pregnant or for the abortion?
I suspect that the two are intertwined but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Whichever one it is, you need to accept that sometimes these things happen (despite the best laid plans). Don't let it get in the way of you living your life.

You have to let yourself grieve. I'm assuming that your guilt could be the result of the loss of the baby's life so letting yourself grieve that loss is very important.

Do you have someone you can talk to about this? Maybe discussing it with a counsellor would be a good step for you since everything you say will be confidential and it is a safe space where you can feel, express and deal with your feelings.
