Hello, my name is Magen.
I've been diagnosed with Schizophrenia and depersonalization about three weeks ago
I was looking over my MRI results and seen a bump, i'm very scared, whats your opinion on it?
I'm 17 years old.

Question, when you were given these results did the neurologist or the doctor say anything about it at all?
If you're concerned I'd go to a doctor straight away.

Yes, the only way to find out what that really is, is to see a doctor.
It could easily be nothing, but better safe than sorry.

Whilst I still suggest you go to a doctor to see what it is, I have done some digging and have had a look at some MRI scans, and I have seen a few with similar features like the "bump" in the same region. I don't know though, it could be nothing but again, I urge you to see a doctor to get some closure

That doesn't look anything like a brain tumor to me, which is why you're supposed to leave reading radiological imaging to...radiologists.

It looks odd to me. but I am a teenager, sitting in a room with a computer on a forum that often gets misused for getting horny teens off.
This is not the place to ask opinions of such a complex nature and surely the person who scanned your brain would have told you information about this. If not, I'd either wait for results or ask for results. Don't worry too much, worrying gets you no were. :)

If the MRI films have been given back to you, then the doctor has already seen them. Yes?
If the doctor didn't say anything about it, then you're fine. If the MRI were to show a tumor, the doctor would tell you.
You can talk to the doctor for reassurance, it might help, but if you already went over the results and nothing about a tumor was mentioned, then it's safe to say that you have nothing to worry about.

Its not a tumor, since tumors appear black on MRI's, and that is just an outlie of something. It could just be swelling of the scalp or brain itslef, nothing major. Best bet, if the doc didnt say anything, you are fine. Always good to get a 2nd opinion, so maybe send these to a nurologist by email or mail. See what they say

Id like to think that if an unqualified teen can pick up on brain tumours on MRI's then a doctor who has had training would.
It is probably nothing but if you are still worried about it go see a doctor..
