View Full Version : Cupid's Mistake

The Batman

As his golden arrow pierced my heart
One thought soon crossed my mind
Who else had he struck today
Where's my true love to find
And then I saw him across the room
He looked at me and smiled
I said, "Hello, how are you there?"
He said, "I must be wild,
I think that I'm in love with you,
though we've barely spoke a word,
I want to be your everything,
or does that sound absurd?"
"I'd love it," is what I said to him
As a smile took over my face
"Just let me go and grab my things
Then we can go to my place"
As I walked to gather up my stuff
With a heart no longer broke
I was approached by Cupid yet again
With sounds of remorse as he spoke
"I apologize," He says to me
"But I have made a mistake.
The arrow wasn't meant for you
So this love is what I'm here to take"
I tried to beg and I tired to plead
For a chance to win his heart
But Cupid simply denied it saying,
"This guy isn't on your Chart"
So just as quickly as love came
it was taken just as fast
But my heart stills aches for that man
No matter the time that's passed
I thought about it a million times
and what sense does it make
After thousands of years of perfection
I was Cupid's only mistake.

I know it's crappy but it's pretty much my feelings.
