1st time shaving!!! help

ok well im 16 and iv never shaved my facial hair. i have a soft mustache and slight beard and im thinking of shaving. The only problem i have is that i dont want it to grow hard and darker and stiff. Is it true that this will happen after you first shaved? Also tell me about the first time u shaved. What and how did you feel when you were doing and after you were done? Did it grow back thicker and darker the first timeyou shaved your mustache? Tell me your personal experiences!

My facial hair was like that before I started shaving as well. However, I was much younger than you when I started shaving so I can't be sure if it was the actual shaving of the hair or just my facial hair thickening with age. If you want it to stay soft my advice would be to leave it the way it is. Maybe you could try trimming it if possible.

You cant halt the march of time, your facial hair will get stronger anytime now whether you shave or not. Where I live people would take the piss out of you if you didnt shave the fluff, so I would go ahead and start the shaving.

Your facial hair will keep growing now unless you shave it which isn't hard at all, Once you have done it you will need to keep doing it!

Yes, it'll come back as stubble when it's been shaved. But, that said, it's much better to have stubble than fluff... Men don't have fluff lol.

Shaving is no big deal, I didn't even think about it when I first started. It can irritate your skin though, so I would suggest you start with an electric shaver (especially if you have spots) - it's practically impossible to cut yourself.

but you guys... after you 1st shaved your facial hair, did you notice any difference like thickness or did it get darker?

i started like 2 months back... i had the same thing i used shaving cream quite a bit and a good razer( remember to get a good one rubbish ones might cut ur face even new) and then just shaved it and wipped the rest with a towel... later it grew back like the same now its gettin thicker but not a biggy..... as long as u got the razer cut it off every time it grows not like the hardest thing in the world.... i rather shave than leave it to grow cos its looks S*&t when i dont shave so jst do it :D

....and sorry, it may be the subject for a different thread, but for me wet shave is far more comfortable than electric.

Im 16 and i started shaving too. I used an electric shaver, and it did come back darker and thicker...i have shaved 3 times in the last month... Dont worry about it!
