Anyones parents make them get the flu shot?
I go to a boarding school and by default everyone gets the flu shot ( this year we got both:( ) but your parents can opt out of it. My dad knows how badly I take shots and I begged him to let me opt out cause it's always really embarrasing for me to get shots in front of my friends and I can never bring myself to walk willingly to the infirmiry for them. So he said alright but I still had to get them. I don't know if he forgot to send in the paperwork or never intended to honor my request in the first place. Well it was really bad because I didn't show up when I was supposed to and the nurse had to pull me out of my Spanish class. Not sure what is worse freaking out in front of my friends or being called in in front of my class.
How can I get my dad to understand that it's a big issue for me?
And before anyone answers that I can just go privately to my doctor and get them in private, my dad is usually out of the country and there is no way to get there anyway.
