All these bannings

I was just wondering, lately i have been seeing alot of new members being banned. Almost every new member I see has a "Banned" Avatar. Is this some sort of bug or are teh mods banning them?

well they all joined today and it was a smap attack i guess

last nite a few people form that spam site YTMND or watever its called paid us a visit and started making a nusiance of themselves, i waited to see if one of the admins came on to deal with it but i had to head so i temp banned them to stop any more, and let one of the admins deal with it when they came on. just didnt want to see a whole rake of stupid spammy threads.
