Ok. (xbox 360, if it matters)

I've just entered the memory/past thing for the first time after escaping that lab thing.
I've done the first few 'task' things. (fighting the guys, racing the brother, delivering the letter for the father, beating up the sisters ex-bf).

My questions are...

Do you unlock more space and does it actually get better? Combat wise, do you get swords, bows, daggers etc.

It does get alot better, I thought from the first one it couldn't but it did. There are new wasy to kill different tactics, but the character is different.

So I take it that as you progress more of the world is opened to you?

Yes, in ways you don't even know. ;)

Just stick with it, once you begin to explore and really engross yourself in the story, you won't want to put the controller down.

And the ending is fantastic. I know I almost cried when the game was over.

Oh yeah, it gets a lot bigger, especially Venice. Just be patient, and dlc will be coming out January and Febuary, if you have Xbox LIVE.
You don't get a bow, but far into the game you do get the hidden pistol on your arm.

The ending was fantastic, I wasn't expecting that ending at all.

As it happens I've just unlocked the pistol today...

I didn't find the pistol useful.

There is a mission or two where you need to use the pistol, but other than that I didn't really use it at all. Most of my kills are "in the moment", where I'm jumping of building and ledges and stabbing victims as I go. I don't have time to sit around and aim. :P

Ok. My next problem...

I've found all the codex pages, had them decrypted and they're all on the wall.
I'm pretty sure they're all in the right order and rotated to the right angle... I've heard that if you put the apple into the stand before you finish the map that it doesn't work... Is that true?

What can I do, it isn't working and I've checked with a few online guides many with videos... Help please... :(

They must not be.

Are you in Eagle Vision? (Hold Y)

It should look like the world.

Yea I'm in eagle vision. That's a screen shot from one of the videos on you tube that I used... I think.

I've got no idea what's wrong. I've tried moving the possible fucked-up parts around a bit and I've checked all of the ones that people say they messed up... Nothing seems to be working.

Hmm, well something is wrong.

Care to take a picture of what you've got and post it here? It might be a bit of a pain but I'll see if I can spot anything wrong.

I will at some point, it'll have to be outside of Vt though... I can't post pictures.

Let's see, is the border like straight-ish line? Is Australia the right shape? Australia wasn't right for me, same for Asia.

If you want to upload it to imageshack and PM the link to me I'd be happy to take a look.

Southeast Asia messed me up a little bit too.

Benmullet, just find places that don't look EXACTLY right and mess around with them a bit.

He can't because of his infraction points, and I don't think they can do it in PMs, as well.

Hmm, well nevermind.

Like I said before, go through every square, making sure it looks exactly like the ones of the completed maps. Also make sure the border on the picture is intact. You're missing something minor here!

You're right... But it doesn't matter now anyway...

Somehow when I loaded it up this morning the apple wasn't in the stand thing, so when I checked the map and then put the apple in it worked... I didn't realise I was so near the end where I was, I'm finished now. It was a pretty interesting ending.

Now I'm just going through finding all the glyphs, statuettes, feathers, viewpoints etc. Should be totally finished by new year. :D

Thanks for all your help.

Indeed it was, the ending was definitely unexpected.

The glyphs get ridiculously hard. Trust me, I've had the game since it came out, and I haven't decyphered all of them because it's jsut way too hard, and I haven't seen any videos that show you through them.

When they get too hard to do/find I just use the internet :D

I couldn't find any of them, but there are images and videos of how to solve the really difficult puzzles. Somewhere anyway.
