When I do start driving. I'll be driving either:

Our '06 Jeep Rubicon (There is a larger lift on it now)
http://i51.tinypic.com/mabfcz.jpg

or

Our Blazer. Which is an '86( I think) S10, that is lowered, with a small block chevy
Which I don't have a picture of.

I'd definitely recommend the 4Runner. Although check it for rust. They're much more reliable than Jeeps of that (or any, really) age.

Well actually no. The 1984-2001 Jeep Cherokees are some of the most reliable vehicles ever made, as long as you get one with the 4.0L Inline 6 (which is most of them). Those engines are legendary for good low end torque, decent fuel economy, and being unable to kill. They routinely go 500,000 miles no problem. :)

In addition parts are cheap and easy to come by because they made more or less the same bodystyle for 25 years.

Get the Jeep. :)

I'd have to disagree there. They were actually recently recalled (for what I can't remember).

It's either a hit or a miss with those, and a hit with the 4Runner.

The 1984-2001 Cherokee wasn't, its very reliable.

The newer Jeeps arent as good because they replaced the indestructible 4L I6 with a crappy gutless V6, I wouldnt buy a Liberty, Compass, Patriot, or Wrangler with the V6.

Go ask about it on http://www.carforum.net and see what they have to say.

heres my truck, parents bought it 4 months ago for my 17th birthday. 2008 Ram SLT quad cab "Big Horn Edition". First pic is the day i picked it up with my parents on the lot, and second picture is one i took the night i brought her home. Good 4x4 truck with a 5.7 liter hemi. Upgraded to a custom split straight pipe exhaust, 4 inch pipes to chrome tips so its loud. Mass air intake hood scoop, K&N cold air intake, 2 inch lift kit, 10% tint, and a brand new pioneer dvd receiver *not the cheap ones, lol*. After everything was said and done, we got her for $18,599. Reason why we got her cheap was that the only previous owner was the manager of the car lot and he was selling his vehicles to move to england for a job opportunity. Truck is still running strong, and it got less than 15,000 miles on her.

totally forgot about posting this. Picked up a 1998 EK hatchback about 2 days ago from a friend. Bought it for $1200 because my friend is getting his dad's 2001 camaro so he didnt need it. Mostly going to be used as a project car, to see if i can do a engine swap, most likely a k20a if i can buy a fully built one for less than $3500. So now i got my Dodge Ram as a everyday vehicle, and this car for anybody that wants to drive it until i buy a new engine and start the swap.

Okay, i'm not gonna argue here, but what stickers are you talking about? I aint a ricer, nor do i have the qualities of being a ricer. And if you knew anything about cars, you would know that there are some hondas that are running quarters faster than most mustangs and muscles. I have been basically born into drag racing and i know how much potential a simple 4 banger can put out. I would rather buy a crap-shoot car and tune it to my individual qualities and spend $10,000 , than to buy a $30,000 car and have it factory tuned to be a simple daily driver.

haha, that is exactly what i mean. Honda's are given a bad name, but that's mostly from people who never even drove them before. If rockNroll drove a tuned civic and felt the hidden power it can put out, i bet he would be surprised on how good a honda is.

Sorry, that sounded like a ricer scheme to me. I'm just saying that putting that much money into something that wasn't designed with the purpose of tuning is just a waste of money. And it isn't going to get you respected.

I know that tuned Civics have potential, but 98% of them are ricers.

ah, now i see. sorry if i i came off as a prick and insulted you. But yeah, i see what you mean. I know a lot of people dont understand the reasoning behind people who do swaps to hondas, but here in hawaii, we probably have some of the strictest laws when it comes to vehicle modding and our roads arent really up to par like other places. So here, doing an engine swap and tuning our engine is basically the best we can do instead of living some where else and you can run a blown big block on the road on street slicks. But yeah, a lot of people who i see do not know what they are doing when it comes tuning their car and they think a big body kit and loud muffler gets you rep. I am actually in the process of ripping out the exhaust that is on my hatchback and putting on a tanabe medallion so it doesnt sound like a riced out hatch with absolutely no power, lol.

1981 Mercedes-Benz 300TD ------Pictures to come...Soon.

Main Mechanical Specificatons:

-Inline 5 cylinder turbo diesel
-4 speed automatic
-Hydraulic load leveling suspension
-Top speed: soon to be tested :D

Car has 300,000+ miles on it, on original everything (ie. engine, transmission, etc.) and still runs like new getting about 25mpg. If you have researched these w123 chassis vehicles for even 5 minutes, you know that they often hit 1,000,000+ miles. These cars are built like tanks; seriously.

A little history:
-These vehicles were one of the last hand built vehicles to come out of germany.
-They are, to date, still the most reliable non comercial vehicles on the road.
-It was the first turbo diesel sedan available in the US starting in 1979.
-The highest milage car from this class finished with 1,900,000 miles on the original engine and is in a musuem. (Thats one million, nine hundred thousand confirmed miles)

I like the Fiesta hatch much better. Of course the sedan has a much more usable trunk space. Fiesta's a pretty zappy car though, I've driven the diesel version with the 5-speed manual and I've sat in an auto before, they're rev-happy as hell and they really go!

What, are you a traffic police officer or something? I don't know about where you live in Australia, but here in Arizona, you are allowed to park in a disabled spot if it's for under 5 minutes and you turn your emergency blinkers on. It's actually on the books as one of the State of Arizona's traffic laws. Plus no one disabled drove up anyways. Anyway, who cares, it's not like I do it all the time.

Like Blake said above, you can actually do that in the US if you are there for a short time with your hazard lights. It's kinda odd, I know, but it's like that in all 50 states from what I understand. Texas is the same.

If you're parked in a handicap stall without a placard, it's a $450 fine here in Washington state if you get caught. Regardless if you have your hazzards on or not. There is no time limit.

False, in Massachusetts you can lose your license. - It is really offensive to see anyone parked in those spots unless they are handicapped anyways! I would never do it, nor have I ever thought of doing it.

I know that you can't park in a handicapped spot in Ohio without a permit, regardless if you have your hazards on or not. I do remember while visiting my aunt and uncle when they used to live in AZ, back when I was 10, she parked in a handicapped spot and went inside to pickup a pizza and he used her hazards, I thought it was so crazy haha

This is illegal in Canada, and I'm glad that it is. A friend of mine is paralyzed from a biking accident, and it's incredibly frustrating when people park in handicap spaces without a placard. He drives a Honda Element, and without the extra clearance at the sides that a handicapped space provides, it's impossible for him
to transfer into his wheelchair.

If you've never been to my country, then keep your opinions to yourself please and look in the mirror if you want to talk about ignorance. At least I'm not so ashamed of where I live that I don't post on my profile where I live, like you are afraid to do obviously.

But yeah I agree with Thor, this has gone way off topic.

I'm from Canada.

End this, now.
I don't want to see any other posts in this thread discussing this. If I do, infractions will be handed out. This is your last warning.

Well... I'll go back to the original thread. My parents sold my car back to the dealer a few days ago, so my last post is invalid I guess. As of right now I kinda have my own car and I kinda don't. My mom bought a 2012 Tahoe ltz back in January and now she just bought a 2012 Prius, they kinda cancel out each other lol. Anyways, the Tahoe is now mine, they refer to it as my car, but whenever they need to use it I'm SOL. As of right now these are the only pictures on my phone I have of it (My mom didn't think I actually went grocery shopping for her the first day we got the car so I had to send proof and the second one is a picture my friend took on accident, but serves a purpose now I guess) I'll put up a real one when I get out of work.

Damn!! I'd kill for a Camaro any day, if I drove it outside of America. They're just too common here but they turn heads everywhere else. I'm really keen to see the new Mustang though. Apparently a revised Evos concept. Hopefully I'll have enough money by then to affords omething better than my little old box on wheels.

It's not allowed to drive a car or a motorbike at this age. After 3 years, I guess I could do this.
