So, long story short. Got a new monitor. It's part of my dual-monitor set up, and it is not my main one. This monitor will only function at 1600x1200. I go to my control panel, open up the window to set resolution, 'lo and behold, 1600x1200 is not one of the options.
Help.

In an attempt to avoid playing ping pong with the posts here.....
Yes, you probably need to upgrade your graphics drivers.
If you dont know what graphics card you have, then either go to your Desktop > Right Click > Properties > Settings and it will tell you in 'Display'next to the monitor, or you can go to Start > Run, and type in: dxdiag, and then click on the 'Display' tab at the top.
It is most likely that you will have an NVIDIA (http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp), ATI (http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html) or INTEL (http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Default.aspx?lang=eng#) graphics card.
If upgrading your graphics drivers DOES NOT work, post the make (ATI, NVIDIA, INTEL, ect) and model (Radeon 2600, ect) in this thread.

Actually, nevermind. Got it looked at earlier today and my graphics card isn't capable of running two monitors. Going to go into Future Shop early tomorrow to grab a new one.
