Body language usually gives it away, or slight changes in the tone of voice. Compare to other people who definitely dont fancy you and then you might be able to tell. Lucky enough Iv almost been always sure if someone fancied me..

I guess if you wanted to be really sure.. you could just ask him?

could just ask, thats the only way. if hes a halfway decent person, and he doesnt like you, then he wont make fun of you

Yes. Body language. Talk to him a lot and see how he talks to you changes as in more smiley face emoticons (thes are just ideas), if he flirts alot, get on the subject of relationships and see how it turns out. If his tone of voice changes in person if he smiles a lot etc etc. There are a lot of ways to find out.
