Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden obviously founders of metal. The big four are overrated if you ask me. Plus, they were all better back in '84 or '85. Now, they're just plain metal. Classic metal, such as Sabbath and Iron Maiden, is where you should focus on. Also, try out some Anvil.

I've seen Anthrax and Metallica. And hoping on seeing all four next year at Sonisphere Poland. Metallica take the biscuit every time.

Out of those choices, Megadeth. My favorite metal band is a tie between bullet for my valentine and slipknot, though.

Out of those choices I say Megadeth but Mettalica comes pretty close.

But I think the best metal bands are Slipknot, Korn, and Kamelot.

Although Kamelot is more of a sub-genre of metal.

All those bands suck, especially Slayer and Anthrax, except Megadeath.
Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, and Judas Priest lead the way for metal, as well as Led Zeppelin, in a sense.

But I think the best metal bands are Slipknot, Korn, and Kamelot.
Korn isn't metal.
