I've done it, quite a few times. There are a lot of nerve endings down there, that just feel good when stimulated, but really it's all about the prostate being stimulated that kicks your orgasm up a notch.

Apparently it's because the contraction of the sphincter, and extra pressure on the prostate ups the orgasm because it's stimulating so many nerve endings.
