maybe just the though of gettin better with the help of your meds helped you get better? lol
or maybe they could just be working :D

Yeh its true.. maybe they are meant to be a placebo (false drug to psychologically trick the body and mind into getting better), or maybe the thought of being happy made you happy and your body/mind got well again.
Another explanation is that tablets and drugs react differently on different people so you may have been really lucky :)

Yeh, 3 weeks is probably the maximum time. They might start much earlier in some people, but the doctor doesn't want to get your hopes up. Good luck. Sorry you have to take them.

It is most probably a psychological effect if you are feeling happier already. Most anti depressants won't start working for at least two weeks or so.
One of the things most people don't realise though is that a lot of problems are just in your head, and your mind is normally more then capable of fixing them. I personally would always much rather get through an illness without pumping myself full of synthesized drugs and just using something more natural / meditating.

Dude, the point of a placebo is that the patient does not realize it is a placebo lol
It is probably the "placebo effect" at work, however does it really matter? Since your feeling better

I'm on that, 50mg morn & night, as well as Lorazepam 1mg.
My psychiatrist said it'd take up to 4 weeks to act.
(It's for my severe OCD, however, I do have major depressive symptoms, so may kill 2 birds with one stone)
I'm just at the end of week 3.
Still suffering though.
Good luck.
