I know alot of people will disagree with these but this is just MY picks. And Im not like any music expert its just my opinion and what I like. maybe u will like some too or discover something new. :)
AND THESE ARE NOT IN ORDER - Its just 10 in random order
ok so here goes...
1. Mika - The Boy Who Knew Too much - Mika is so creative, has incredible vocal range, and his songs are catchy and fun. I love this album!
2. Green Day - 21st Century Breakdown - How could Green Day ever match American Idiot? Well they did. This album is amazing
3. Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix - Creative and unique. This album gets the better the more I hear it
4. Where the Wild Things Are Soundtrack - Karen O and the Kids sing the songs you heard in this awesome movie. The songs are quirky and fun and so addictive I love them all
5. Late of the Pier - Fantasy Black Channel - If you never heard of Late of the Pier then do yourself a favor and listen to a song called Bathroom Gurgle for a taste of incredible music! There is NO other band out there that sound like them and thats a huge compliment.
6. A Rocket to the Moon - On Your Side - I've been following ARTTM for over a year now. This is their first full length and all the hard work has paid off. Every track is perfect pop music.
7. Fun. - Aim and Ignite - To be honest if I was going to pick ONE best of the year this would be it. Hands down. This is real music. Fun and catchy, emotional, sentimental... filled with horns and strings and rich sound. You won't be disappointed.
8. Say Anything - Say Anything - Just because it's a self titled released don't be fooled this is actually the third album from the band and its GREAT! Say Anything's lyrics are poetry. The music is magical
9. All Time Low - Nothing Personal - even tho they are more pop-ish and less edgy than some of their older albums, All Time Low still do it better than every other copycat band out there. So what if its poppy? For me it was the best Pop album all year.
10. Boys Like Girls - Love Drunk - Which leads me to the second best pop album of the year! Boys Like Girls first hit my radar with their song The Great Escape from their first album and I knew then they would be big someday and they outdid themselves with Love Drunk.
